HBAR barrel assembly for decent price August 2, 2023 Reviewer: Charles Nelson from Warrenton, VA United States   I ordered this HEAVY profile AR barrel upper by accident - meant to order a gov't profile barrel.  Well, this one is definitely HBAR style - that barrel is FAT under the handguards and only slims down at the front sight - and then it's still pretty thick.  It is accurate enough for me using iron sights.  1/9 twist is actually better for my normal 55 - 62 grain ammo use vs the common 1/7 twist barrels.  It's a quality barreled upper - just be ready to have a muzzle-heavy rifle that is probably a range rifle use rather than a carry/defensive rifle. not bad September 2, 2014 Reviewer: Scott Michael from Lewisburg, OH United States   received this upper about two weeks after i initially ordered it. the somewhat slow shipping was due to the fact that they had to switch out the barrel i ordered because it was out of stock. they righted the issue quickly and i got it soon after. when i finally managed to get it to the range i was able to hold a two inch group at 50 yds with no trouble. however after 80rds the bolt locked back in the buffer tube and would not return even with use of the forward assist. i ended up having to buy an armorers wrench to take the buffer tube off to get the bolt out. upon inspection i found that the forward assist had actually failed and jammed the bolt. i ended up having to send the upper back to delton who is inspecting it right now. delton is doing a good job handling the situation but it is disappointing that I've had these issues in the first place. not sure if I'll buy from them again. AWESOME!! March 7, 2014 Reviewer: Abraham Voorhees from Santa fe, NM United States   I ordered this 20''  heavy assembly, and it arrived to my door in two days. I immediately placed it on my m4 lower reciever and it fit perfect. Then took bout 60 rounds to range for test and what do ya know it worked better then a charm!! Placed a temporary back flip sight on it and the sights aligned perfect.  Seeing as this assembly is all standard, anything you want to do is possible. Del-ton will have my business from now on. And great customer service to. I will be buying more from del-ton. Next lower receiver.... Was this review helpful to you?

Warlord from Boulder, CO United States   This upper is great.  It worked right out of the box, and is a joy to shoot.  Great deal for the quality.  I was able to shoot a 1" group at 200 yards with iron sights from a benchrest position.  This is a better group than what I got with my free-floating barrel carbine upper. preban 20 March 4, 2009 Reviewer: chris white from Nashville, GA United States   Fit and finish is great and with a Wilson barrel too! It locked up tight on my DS lower and matched perfectly. UPDATE: After a year and a half and a few thousand rounds I still love this upper! It still locks up tight to my Double Star lower. Getting good groups so I have made it into a nice hunting rifle. Good quality products March 20, 2008 Reviewer: Robert Bass from Gladstone, OR United States   I pulled it out of the box and slapped it on to my DoubleStar lower.  it was a pretty close color match after applying some CLP to the finish.  A few days later, I took it up shooting and she functioned without any problems.  Will soon be buying the 16" complete upper.
