Quickly improving every time I go to the range	October 21, 2023

I bought this barrel with the chrome lining since it was destined to spend a lot of time outside in various weather conditions. My first few range sessions were a bit disappointing as the barrel wasn't getting the accuracy I was hoping for. I have other DelTon barrels and they quickly were (are) good shooters. After some cleaning and going back to the range my accuracy has greatly improved. The chrome lining just needed some break in time. I only have about 100 shots through the barrel but by the time the winter hunting season arrives the barrel should be at it's best. I chose the DelTon 1/9 twist barrel because of my bullet selection. My bullets of choice are 50, 55 and 60 grain bullets. I was concerned that a faster twist barrel wasn't going to deliver the accuracy I am looking for with light weight bullets. I built this upper from left over AR15 parts that were not used on other projects so it is a true Franken gun. Except for the barrel of course.
