little trouble at first works good now October 24, 2011 Reviewer: chris Loose from Fremont , OH United States   First i waited exactly 4 weeks for my kit to ship. Had a little trouble with the fixed stock in assymbaly because the rear thumb screw had what appeard to be dryed lock tight (red formula) on the threds making it very difficult to screw in. so i docked the kit a star for that.   other than that i shot 3 MOA groups with the riflewhich is good by my standards and had no problems with anything when i put 333 rounds of XM 855 though it this past sunday...... i killed that pumpkin Was this review helpful to you?

Del-Ton AR15 Rifle Kit October 12, 2011 Reviewer: Jim from Sardinia, OH United States   I purchased a Del-Ton 20 inch rifle kit in July 2011.  I wanted to wait and test the rifle out a bit before writing a review.  I mated my Del-Ton upper with a Stags lower and fit was perfect.  The blueing matched perfect as well, so 5 stars there.  I ordered my upper in the flat top configuration with hopes of some day putting a nice scope on it.  But for now, I use a Troy flip up iron sight in conjunction with the F marked front sight base.  Between zeroing the rifle, target plinking and accuracy testing, I've put about 350 rounds through it with no problems at all.  5 stars there.  Further more, I was able to hit HALF bricks from 115 yards using only the open iron sights.  Accuracy on this Del-Ton upper is 5 stars.  This rifle is most likely more accurate than me!  I carried a Colt M16 for six years in the Army in the early 90's and my Del-Ton 20 inch would give the Colt a hard run for the money.  Get you one.  Thank you Del-Ton! 20" DMR August 3, 2011 Reviewer: Gerald Wilson Jr. from McAlester, OK United States   I used Del-ton's 20" rifle kit to make a DMR type rifle and let me say I couldn't be more pleased with it. Fit,finish,and quality are all second to none. Everything was installed properly,the YHM ext free float handguard,the YHM flip up hooded front sight,and the Phantom Aggressive end comp.all of it. Now I start saving for the 18" 6.8 SPC I know is coming ! Using 55gr PMC Bronze all of my first groups from this rifle went under 1" with the best 3 shot groups being .347" and .358" . Great product, but service... July 2, 2011 Reviewer: Jonathan from Middle Tennessee   As noted above, the product is exactly what is stated in the description. I got the 20" kit and married it to a spike's stripped lower. It came together quite nicely, with only a hint of slop. The trigger is garbage, but then again I'm spoiled on the savage accutrigger. The only reason that I'm docking these guys a star is because it took over two months to get it, when they said it should only take 4-6 weeks! the customer service lady was quite nice and understanding, but it's ultimately a logistics failure. I'm sure that they've resolved the problem now, and I am willing to give them another chance as soon as the funds allow.  Thanks Del Ton for a good product! Was this review helpful to you?

Excellence in ALL Areas. April 5, 2011 Reviewer: Grin from Laddonia, MO United States   Despite my constant pestering of the CS reps, they were always a pleasure to deal with. I was able to get around the shipping dilemma by selecting in-stock parts over the phone. On to the rifle. This kit is an EXCELLENT value. I have built the single most accurate rifle I have owned up to the date of this review by using this kit. The lightweight barrel makes it a dream to bring on target quickly, and the A2 stock provides a consistent, repeatable cheek weld with a firm hold to my shoulder. Paired with the lightweight sling and a 3-9x40 scope, this rifle, using Wolf ammunition, achieved a 3 inch group at 120 yards from an inexperienced shooter of diminished physical stature (a short person who's never used an AR before - lol). Finish is excellent, and the lower parts kit dropped into a Double Star lower without a hassle, and without any modifications. I trust this rifle with my life and the lives of those who depend on me; as such, I recommend this kit to everyone. Was this review helpful to you?

watch the build March 13, 2011 Reviewer: Gregory Smith from Cedar Park, TX United States   If you get a free float tube, be aware that the tube won't index and Del-ton doesn't  align vent openings-this means you have to tap the tube yourself to properly install a rail, bipod, or sling...I don't see what the use of a free float tube is if you can't use a sling for a brace.  Also, my flash hider wasn't installed square.  The gun works but more "field work" is needed to set it up right.
