The DT Sport Mod 2 is an upgraded version of the DT Sport. The Mod 2 sports a 16" light weight, melonite barrel with 1x9 twist, 6 position M4 stock, CAR handguards with single heat shields, enhanced triggerguard, and A2 flash hider.
The DT Sport Mod 2 comes with a Rear Back-up Polymer Sight, 1x 30rd magazine and a CA approved Gun Lock. Shipped with a Chamber Safety Tool in the chamber, clearly showing the weapon is unloaded.

5 of 5 Excellent Rifle at any price point. July 18, 2023

I purchased the original DT Sport from a local retailer in So. Cal back in 2016. This rifle has cycled thousands of .223 and 5.56 and has never failed to feed or. Living in California I had to install a fixed magazine kit which makes the rifle a pain to load but it still functions perfectly.

My intention when buying this rifle was to upgrade some  components. Like a 1 / 7 barrel and upgraded bolt and carrier assmbly but everything works so well as is, and the rifle is accurate enough with 55 grain .223 or .62 grain 5.56 ammo that I haven't bothered to modify it. The only mods I have made is a flip up Magpul back up site (the original DT Sport lacked this feature) and a Vortex optic.

I shoot with guys who have far more money invested in their AR platforms, with more expensive brands but my fun factor when shooting with them is the same. I just spent about 1/3 of what they invested.  Del-Ton builds quality ARs at an affordable price point. You can't go wrong with a Del-Ton.

I just love my DT sport-mod2 and cant say enough for my 1st AR15 rifle ever! I purchased mine ,used at my local gun shop and it was magpul FDE and is a tac driver! 1-0twist heavy barrel and it holds a place in my heart as my 1st AR! I have purchased a few since then and built a few as well. But there is onyl one other M4 i can compare it too and thats my Stag in the same configuration! I would take either in an emergency situation! great gun!!!

I finally was able to get this out to the range for a morning of shooting.  It is become one of my favorite rifles.  It is easy to use and fun.  I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get into shooting the AR platform.

Talk about getting a bang for your buck this rifle doesnt say it has m4 feed ramps but it does i bought this rifle last year ran atleast 2thousand rounds from it an it has never failed me not once an to think i was gonna buy a more expensive ar which probably wouldnt even of came this well built this gun has everything you need thank you delton for making such a fun light weight reliable gun
