Sometimes simple is better, I am 100% satisfied with my dissipator barrel. The installation was a breeze, the FSB is straight and there are absolutely no issues with reliability.
I will buy another when they are back in stock.
The sales department deserves a huge thank you for being great to deal with.

I ordered this barrel because I wanted to build an actual Dissipator, and not something with a carbine or mid-length gas system.  The Del-Ton barrel is 16" in length, but uses a rifle-length gas system.  As far as machining goes, the barrel, extension, and front sight assembly were all well done.  My build cycles both 55gr .223 and M855 reliably.  It will also cycle cheap steel cased ammo, but sometimes will not lock back due to that ammo being loaded slightly weaker than normal.  The only reason I give this 4 stars versus 5 is that it appears the barrel is neither chrome-lined or melonited.  If Del-Ton offered this with chrome lining or at least a melonited interior finish, I'd be happy.  Oh... a 1x8 twist would also be ideal, although 1x9 still works well for anything 62gr and under.
